Welcome to the iTEC Knowledge Map!
The Knowledge Map was produced within the iTEC project by colleagues from Manchester Metropolitan University, the partner university with responsibility for evaluating the large-scale piloting of iTEC scenarios across participating European countries.
It was written during the first year of the iTEC project (2010/11) in order to:
- situate the evaluation of the iTEC project in general and national contexts;
- reveal progress in iTEC schools beyond national baselines/benchmarks;
- help to interpret the iTEC evaluation findings in terms of underlying national conditions (political, educational, and socio-economic);
- enable iTEC partners working with schools to make evidence-based decisions on pedagogical innovation.
The countries included in the present Knowledge Map represent those that were participating in iTEC at the beginning of the project. Other countries have since joined iTEC and information about these will be included at a future date.
