Welcome to the iTEC project’s Teacher Community website. This site is aimed to provide teachers involved in the project with the information and contacts needed.

iTEC aims to introduce new technologies and teaching strategies into classrooms across Europe. As an “iTEC Teacher”, you play a vital role in helping to design and test these learning activities and technologies.

In this Teacher Community, you will find the following information:  

• DESIGN PILOTS – This page will help those of you who are involved in the design of learning activities or pre-pilots. This is where new teaching approaches and technologies will be tested out for the first time.
• PARTICIPATE IN PILOTS – All iTEC teachers will be asked to try out some of the most interesting iTEC teaching activities. Here you will find out which activities you need to pilot, and when the pilots are due to take place. You will also learn more about the technology you will use.
• SHARE AND EVALUATE PILOT EXPERIENCES – Here you can view the iTEC Multimedia Stories (iMmS) created by other teachers who have carried out pilots. Here you will find the questionnaires to fill in after each pilot and if you are a case study teacher you can also learn how to create your own iMmS.
• DISCUSSION FORUM – Here you can discuss your ideas or questions with other teachers.  You can find out how other teachers have used different teaching approaches or technologies.

Find out more about the iTEC Project

iTEC stands for “Innovative Technologies for an Engaging Classroom”. It is a four-year project, involving 27 partners from 18 European countries. The project started in September 2010, and is the largest project of its kind. Visit the iTEC website here: http://itec.eun.org
